Icelandic death metal cult ZHRINE (featuring members of black metal luminaries SVARTIDAUDI) have announced new festival dates across Europe for 2017. The tour dates include Einstaflug in Iceland, and Brutal Assault Fest in the Czech Republic. A full list of confirmed dates can be found below.
ZHRINE recently saw the release of drummer Tumi Snær Gíslason’s play-through video for the track titled “Empire”. The video was captured by Maximum Volume Silence at Saint Vitus Bar during the band’s latest US tour, and is streaming now at SickDrummer.com.
ZHRINE are touring in support of their new album, ‘Unortheta’. The album, hailed as “a churning black/death vortex that takes the disgusting atonality of avant-garders like BLUT AUS NORD, melds it with the oppressively frigid atmosphere of SVARTIDAUDI, and folds in fetid layers of doom and psychedelia for good measure” (Decibel) and “an imposing, dissonant mass of unorthodox death, heavily atmospheric and weirdly progressive” (Noisey) is streaming here. ‘Unortheta’ is available at the Season of Mist E-Shop.
The album art for ‘Unortheta’, by Zbigniew M. Bielak (WATAIN, BEHEMOTH, GORGUTS, GHOST), and an official track list can be found below.
