From Knoxville, Tennessee death metal band Whitechapel was formed in 2006 since then they have released 4 albums. Their latest self titled cd Whitechapel is out now (Metal Blade Records). The band changed, developed and continue perfecting their sound. They have come a long way in their career and continue to grow and prove they are not going anywhere. Current band members are Phil Bozeman – (Vocals), Ben Savage – (Guitar), Zach Householder – (Guitar), Alex Wade – (Guitar), Ben Harclerode – (Drums), Gabe Crisp – (Bass).
The band is currently on the Mayhem festival alongside bands like Slayer, Anthrax, As I lay Dying and many more. On August 6 they played at the Ashley Furniture Home Store Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona. Their set was short, sweet and brutal. Under the hot blazing blinding glaring sun they pumped their fans and tore them to shreds. Their fans moshed in the 100+ degree weather and even a guy on a wheel chair decided to join in the fun and crowd surfed. Quite possibly a first for Whitechapel to witness but non the less you can call that dedication. Here’s a link to their set pictures. Despite the heat they played a very brutal set. The Age Of Metal was able to talk to Zach Householder about the tour, new album, future tours, and much more.
