VENOM PRISON ANNOUNCED AS DIRECT SUPPORT FOR SUICIDE SILENCE

WINTERSUN - The Forest Seasons

Death metal outfit  VENOM PRISON will continue to spread their aural assault on stages across the U.K. following the release of their breakthrough debut album, “Animus”, as they have just been announced as direct support to deathcore masters Suicide Silence this March. Following the winter jaunt, the band will join Darkest Hour throughout Europe in May before returning to their home country for an appearance at the prestigious Download Festival. Full dates can be found listed below.

“The early days of Suicide Silence pushed us into wider ranges of heavier music and diversified our influences, there is no doubt that Suicide Silence are an influential and phenomenal live band to this day” remarked VENOM PRISON.

Extreme music is an impressively broad spectrum, and if anything, fans are deprived of the opportunity to explore and diversify their tastes in the same way that we did, due to increasingly tight and niche sub-genres. This tour provides an opportunity to spread our debut full length ‘Animus’ to yet another audience and it allows those fans to embrace a newer band like Venom Prison, with whom they may not yet be familiar.”

Filled to the brim with “pummeling riffs and a vicious vocal delivery” (Decibel), “Animus” is 10 tracks of venomous brutality that tackle subjects as social Darwinism, misogyny, rape culture and the rejection of God and religion. Take a peek below at the newly released music video for the punishing single “Corrode the Black Sun”.
