The Southwest Terror Fest is a two-day festival covering the best of Arizona’s metal scene with some of the best bands from the underground playing in an intimate setting over two days in Tucson, AZ. The Age of Metal is partnering with the folks from The Southwest Terror Fest to give you a primer of all of the bands playing. Today we look at…uhh…parody band Yeti Ender…
Band name: Yeti Ender
Where are you from?
What do you sound like?
Stoner-ish riffs with kinda-catchy melodies. We’re pretty much just ripping off our favorite Clutch, QOTSA, Helmet, and Soundgarden songs.
How did you get involved with Southwest Terror Fest?
One of us ran into David Rodgers at a Godhunter show. He told us about the Fest and asked if we’d want to play.
What do you think of Arizona’s metal crowd in general?
What’s the most ridiculous thing that’s happened to your band?
Being asked to play the Fest was ridiculously awesome.
How has your sound changed over time?
We’re tighter and the singing sucks a lot less.
What’s the one thing you’re looking forward to the most at the fest?
Just seeing all these awesome bands. We’d be there even if we weren’t playing.
What band do you recommend seeing aside from yourselves?
Powered Wig Machine. Fucking love their songs!
Is there a place we can hear your music online?
