Heavy, rough, and melodic are the only way to describe the sound of Chicago based melodic death metal band Starkill, that will be releasing their new album Fires Of Life this April 30th via Century Media Records.
The band is a perfect blend of Children Of Bodom, Amon Amarth, & Dragonforce wrapped up in a ferocious and unique twist that makes the sound of this band so appealing to those who love fast melodic guitar riffs and blast beats. Their new album Fires Of Life is a pure masterpiece of American melodic death metal, a sound so well crafted that stands up tall in a jungle of screamo, crabcore bands and hipstery metal bands that populated the American metal scene today. So it is a relief to see bands like Starkill bringing back the art of playing metal music the way it’s meant to be played. Heavy, melodic and rough.
The Age Of Metal had the chance to speak with Parker Jameson (lead guitar & vocals) of Starkill about their influences, their musical style and formation, and of course their new album Fires Of Life
