Regarding the video release, the band comments: “As the echoes of ‘A Year with no Summer’ start to recede, we would like to share with you one last memory of our foregone European tour. ‘The Polyarnik’ was recorded live in Gdańsk on last November 9th before the watchful gaze of a mesmerized crowd. Thank you so much for walking with us through this surly year. It has been a rough journey, but also a wonderful and transformative experience, and now it’s time for us to move onto new territories. Again. See you on the other side!”
“The Polyarnik” originally appeared on OBSIDIAN KINGDOM’s ambitious new album, ‘A Year with No Summer’. The album, recorded at Orgone Studios in London with Jaime Gómez Arellano (GHOST, PARADISE LOST, PRIMORDIAL, ENSLAVED, PURSON, CATHEDRAL) is hailed as “somewhere between Porcupine Tree and Radiohead with dashes of more traditional progressive rock swirling in the mix” (PopMatters) and is streaming now here.
‘A Year With No Summer’ is available at the Season of Mist E-Shop.

OBSIDIAN KINGDOM, an independent music project founded in Barcelona in 2005, first received acclaim from the European indy scene through their self-released concept album ‘Mantiis – An Agony in Fourteen Bites’ (2012). OBSIDIAN KINGDOM defy both tradition and their black metal origins, as they create their own unique style eschewing conventions and genre boundaries.
