Trolls are going to troll, and Norwegian Balkan Metal band Trollfest is not the exception to that rule. These trolls are on the American roads as part of the line up for Paganfest America 2013. So most likely they might be playing in a city near you right at this moment, or at your favorite bar drinking all the delicious beer.
Formed back in 2003, Trollfest mixed folk metal and black metal, and the result was ‘Norwegian Balkan Metal’, as they called it proclaiming that is where their influences are coming from. With five studio albums, many shows all over Europe, this band really knows how deliver a heavy, and a fun show at the same time. As they played here in Tempe, AZ last Monday at 910Live, their set was composed of songs out of their new album Brumlebassen (Trinkentroll & Brumlebassen) and some songs from their previous albums.
Overall, their show was amazingly good, and the crowd loved them. The only unfortunate part was how short their set was, and the sound was not even close to decent (not their fault). We hope he forgive us, and return later down the road. The Age Of Metal had the chance to speak with Mr. Seidel (guitar) & Trollmannen (vocals) or how they preferred me to call them John & Joe. We talked about the tour, the story of the band, their new album, and what is next for Trollfest.
Here are some pictures of their show
