The Finnish did it again. They came, they raided our cities, drank our booze and partied hard with us.
Once again the Finnish battle metal warriors of Turisas completed a successful and fun headlining tour. Last year they closed Paganfest America here, and if that wasn’t enough they came back this year bringing with them the Greek troopers of Firewind for a hell of a show in a cold winter Arizonan night (yeah, you read that correct. It was cold in Arizona for once).
A Turisas show always means war paint, beer, circle pits, dancing and war chanting, and even at 44 degrees we did that here in Tempe, AZ last week. The band played everything from their discography from (Stand Up And Fight, A Portage Of The Unknown, To Holmgard And Beyond) to (Sahti-Waari, One More, Battle Metal and Hunting Pirates) indeed it was a night to remember. Not only because it was cold, but because they put a great show, and their show this time was a different, maybe because of the new members in the band.
We had the chance to speak with Jussi Wickström guitar player of Turisas about the Guards Of Glory tour, their upcoming album, the new line up and much more
Here are some of the pictures of that show
