The last decade has been a time of transformation and advance for the Thrash Metal scene in a global sense, and Hatesphere has been without doubt one of the flag bearers of these New Wave Of Thrash metal. In 2011 they returned with a new album titled “The great bludgeoning”, nine tracks of pure aggression and hate in every riff. A couple of days back we had the chance to talked with founder and guitar player Pepe Hansen, about the new album, there touring plans and the state of the band. this is what he told us:
Pepe, you are the only original member left in the band, after all those changes, what is the vibe on the Hatesphere camp now? and how has been the response of the fans to the new members?
Hatesphere’s new album The Great Bludgeoning, has a more aggressive sound than its predecessors Serpent Smiles And Killer Eye , and To The Nines…what is the idea behind the album? and What is the differences between the albums?
What is your favorite track of the new album?
How was the experience of coming back to studio with producer Tue Madsen this time around?
The album art has an air to old Sepultura’s and Slayer’s albums…what can you tell us about the cover, and what is the idea behind the album art?
Hatesphere is about to kick off the Headbangers Ball tour 2011, what are you expectations for this tour?…and what the fans can expect of it?
