EARTH ELECTRIC announce debut album, stream new track

WINTERSUN - The Forest Seasons

EARTH ELECTRIC, the hard rock brainchild of Norwegian guitarist Rune Eriksen (ex-MAYHEM, AURA NOIR, TWILIGHT OF THE GODS, ex-AVA INFERI) have revealed new album details off their forthcoming debut. The album is titled ‘Vol. 1: Solar’, and sees the renowned musician joined by front-woman Carmen Simoes (ex-AVA INFERI, ex-MOONSPELL), and marks a return to his roots by exploring a more progressive sound firmly based on rock music.

Recorded in Orgone Studio with acclaimed producer Jaime Gomez Arellano (GHOST, CATHEDRAL, PARADISE LOST, PRIMORDIAL), ‘ Vol. 1: Solar’ will be released via Season of Mist worldwide on May 12.

‘ Vol. 1: Solar’ is available for pre-order across multiple CD and LP formats at the Season of Mist E-Shop.

EARTH ELECTRIC are streaming the first new track off ” Vol. 1: Solar’. The track, a symphonic hard rock opus titled “Meditate. Mediate” is streaming now at Decibel Magazine.

Regarding the new track, EARTH ELECTRIC comments:

We have chosen the aptly titled ‘Meditate. Mediate’ as our first single, because this song reflects the content and theme of our album well,” Earth Electric says. “We also feel that its vibe serves as a wake-up call for this rather bleak and egocentric world. We simply need more colours! Through our debut Vol. 1: Solar we convey pure emotions with a musical emphasis on ‘the classic era’ of hard rock. In our opinion, the result is adventurous and fun; at times a tad psychedelic and untamed yet on the other hand classic and refined. This is no make-up, just pure rock in all its pride and glory. We are Earth Electric!
