The Canadian thrash metal scene has been on the rise lately with bands like Nothing Left For Tomorrow, Stryker and now Mortillery. All of them trying to create and add something new to the new wave of thrash metal.
In the case of Mortillery, a young band that started back in 2008, that the span of a little more of 4 years they have achieved a lot. From getting signed with Napalm Records and re-releasing their first album Murder Death Kill, to releasing their second album Origin Of Extinction this year. Fueled by what happens in the world and in their own personal lives, the band’s lyrics are a reflect of those experiences making their music intense and full of character.
Their new album Origin Of Extinction is a well packed 10 track thrash metal opus from opening to end. Furious, rebellious and on your face thrash metal. Mortillery raises the bar and has a lot to give to the scene. The Age Of Metal had the chance to speak with Alex Gutierrez guitar player of the band about Origin Of Extinction, their style, their plans and their local scene.
