Hailing from beautiful Los Angeles, California comes the world’s only female tribute to Iron Maiden. The Iron Maidens, these ladies have not only covered one the biggest metal bands in the world down to perfection, that even Iron Maiden gave them their seal of approval. But also they had released their own studio albums; World’s Only Female Tribute to Iron Maiden (2005), Route 666 (2007), Root Of All Evil EP (2008) and a DVD filmed during their shows in Japan and released in 2010.
Now, they are not your ordinary tribute local band that plays covers every weekend at your local rock bar. No, they are a professional touring band that have traveled the world with a fan base already established in the countries they have visited. The Iron Maidens‘s live show is a small resemblance of what Iron Maiden is on stage. From a life-size version of Eddie walking on stage, the devil appearing during ‘The Number Of The Beast‘, to the vocalist of the band Kirsten Rosenberg (Bruce Chickinson) wearing a military uniform, and waving a British flag as Bruce Dickinson does in Iron Maiden during ‘The Trooper‘
A couple of weeks ago they visited the valley for the first time since 2008, and let me tell you that this new line up, kick ass all the way to London, England. Really great show and musicianship (you must have that to cover a band like Iron Maiden) After their show they meet up with fans, signed autographs, took pictures, and hanged out.
The Age Of Metal sat down with the band, and talked about touring, Iron Maiden, a new album. In general an approach of what they have done so far, and what is next for The Iron Maidens.
