B.C. Rich Guitars has created some of the most infamous guitars for the metal community since 1969. Bernardo Chavez Rico started constructing innovative electric guitars and basses out of influence from other models of that time. B.C. Rich Guitars soon became distinctive with their introduction of the Warlock design that was popular among 80’s hair metal bands.
2014 marked the introduction of the new models for the Mockingbird line. The FR and Plus FR have a wide range of specifications, including a Floyd Rose Special Series Tremolo bridge. The construction of the FR is bolt-on and the construction of the Plus FR is long set, as opposed to the ST that has the classic neck-through construction. The FR series comes in two finishes: trans-red and black. The Mockingbird series have been played by illimitable death metal musicians including Chuck Schuldiner.
The Kerry King Signature models are another from B.C. Rich for metal models. King delivers his individual style of playing with these eight unique models, including incorporating his own twist on models such as the Warlock and V. Models such as the Wartribe 2 feature a Floyd Rose for maximum squealing effects. King has been an avid B.C. Rich user and his quality models reflect how his preferences for guitar fit everything that B.C. Rich has to offer.
The Age of Metal was able to speak to B.C. Rich more in-depth about these products and what benefits they offer to users.
