The Safety Fire is a rising English progressive metal band. They’re extremely unique in the sense that they’re inspired by various genres of music that is heard in every song; labeling them “progressive metal” truly is an understatement. After achieving popularity in the UK, they quickly got signed to InsideOut Music and started touring with legendary bands such as Periphery and Protest the Hero. And this incline of success won’t stop anytime soon.
Anyone who sees this band for the first time is immediately drawn into their performance. With their impressive stage presence they will quickly lure you in to join the frenzy. The tracks they played off of their newest album Mouth of Swords got the best response, such as Glass Crush and Red Hatchet. The Safety Fire is quickly expanding and gaining an appreciation as an internationally recognizable band. They are changing how we see metal and serve as a breath of fresh air for this industry. This is the kind of band a lot of metal fans needed.
The Age of Metal spoke with guitarist Dez Nagle while on the Parallax II tour in Orlando, Florida at the Plaza Live. In the interview we discuss: the Parallax II tour, the recent colossal events they played such as Progressive Nation at Sea cruise, and Mouth of Swords.
