Fit for an Autopsy has been reaching a new level ever since their 2013 release Hellbound. They embarked on the Hate Across America tour supporting Thy Art is Murder last winter, and supported Chimaira and I Wrestled a Bear Once in February.

If you read my review of Hellbound, you know I thought it was one of the most vigorous releases of 2013. The dexterous musicianship intertwines with their signature brutal sound perfectly. Their recordings don’t even compare to the energetic performance they put on. When they first start playing, you can feel yourself becoming engulfed by the nefarious feel of their crushing sound, annihilating everyone in your wake.

I spoke with guitarist Patrick Sheridan while they were in St. Petersburg, Florida. In the interview, Sheridan discusses the tour, playing on stage, Hellbound, and his love for Pantera.
