Bay area thrash metal titans Death Angel recently finished a long North American tour with Slayer and Anthrax. It seems that it was a roller coaster tour for the guys of Death Angel as they had dates opening for Slayer and Anthrax that only allowed them a 30-minute set, while at some of the dates with Anthrax they had a 45-minute set and their headlining shows were, of course, longer than that.
Early this year, Death Angel released their 8th studio album titled The Evil Divide, an interesting record that in some way follows what they did with Relentless Retribution and The Dream Calls for Blood, but it stands on its own in Death Angel‘s discography.
One of the last dates of the tour happened here in Mesa, AZ at Club Red which actually was a headlining show and had an amazing Friday night turn out.
Before the show at Club Red we had the chance to speak with Ted Aguilar of Death Angel about the tour with Slayer and Anthrax, the impact of The Evil Divide among their fan base, and their new fan club/social network The Pack.
