SANCTUARY signs worldwide deal with Century Media Recor

Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of the legendary Seattle metal band SANCTUARY. In 2010, four of the founding members, Warrel Dane, Jim Sheppard, Lenny Rutledge and Dave Budbill, came together for a few select reunion performances. At first, it was just going to be a handful of shows, but the response and chemistry on stage was so overwhelming that the guys changed their minds. Now, some 20 years after they left off, SANCTUARY will continue with their unique mix of US power metal, hard rock and progressive elements and begin work on a new LP. To complete the line-up, Brad Hull (FORCED ENTRY) will be filling in for former guitar player Sean Blosi. A late 2013 release is planned.

WHITE WIZZARD releases new track, “Strike The Iron”

WHITE WIZZARD has launched a new track, “Strike The Iron,” taken from their upcoming third full-length album, The Devils Cut. Due out on June 3rd in Europe via Earache Records and on June 25th in the USA via Century Media/Earache Records, The Devils Cut features artwork by Cameron Davis (http://www.cdavisart.com), who is known for his work as the lead character designer and illustrator for the Guitar Hero video game series.

DARK TRANQUILLITY premieres “Uniformity” music video online

Melodic death metal pioneers DARK TRANQUILLITY will release their much-anticipated 10th studio album, Construct, on May 27th in Europe and on May 28th in North America via Century Media Records. In anticipation of this release, the band has now teamed up with Metal Hammer UK to launch the video for the new single “Uniformity”. This video-clip was produced and directed by Revolver Film Company and Patric Ullaeus, who previously worked with IN FLAMES, HAMMERFALL and LACUNA COIL.

Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth talked about Live In Ancient Kourion with The Age Of Metal

Live albums are a tricky thing. For one thing the right venue choice has to be made then an excellent mix must be made or else the album will sound like a wall of noise. For Iced Earth newest live album Live in Ancient Kourion became a daunting task for the band. Kourion was situated in Cyprus and was at one point a city from antiquity to the early Middle Ages. In the present time however Kourion is in ruins for the most part. For Iced Earth to be putting on a show let alone one that is a site of ruins is definitely not most easy of challenges.
