Last Friday we went down to the Yucca Tap Room in Tempe, AZ to see the Secrets Of The Sky & In The Silence tour, a doom/progressive metal action packed show, that so far is one of the best I’ve seen at that venue.
Secrets Of The Sky opened the night with a dark and melancholic set out of their new album To Sail Black Waters, a combination of doom melodic metal with sparks of black metal here and there, it reminded me to early Katatonia and Opeth. Regardless to the horrible PA system at the venue, they sounded tight, heavy and freaking dense. A real treat to those present at the venue last Friday.
The Age Of Metal got the chance to seat with the whole line up of Secrets Of The Sky. We talked about their new album To Sail Black Waters, the recording process, the tour, and what is next for the band.
