Polish death metal outfit Vader is one of the oldest metal that came out from Poland, Vader‘s music has been a different kind of death metal breed as they did the transition from speed/thrash metal to death metal in the late 80’s some elements were carried away creating an undistinguished sound that Vader has been polishing and curing throughout the years. This year they released a new EP titled Iron Times, and by November they will release their new studio album The Empire.
Vader‘s new album The Empire is a reflection of the worldwide events that had happened in the last year, and a way to remind humanity that we have been there and that there is lessons from our past that must not be ignored. Beyond the inner message of the album, we can say that The Empire is a classic-sounded Vader album that was written with the intent to reach out to all the type of fanbases the band has, from the young new fans to the die hard Vader fans and those ones that have been there from the beginning.
Songs like: Tempest, Prayer To The God Of War, No Gravity, Genocidius, The Army-Geddon and Feel My Pain can be considered some of the most powerful anthems of this album. With the new album coming out almost at the same time as the first part of the European tour kicks off we wondered how many of this songs are going to make the cut into the band’s live setlist. With The Empire it also comes a new chances for fans to see Vader live, and some of us keep looking forward for the band’s return to the American stages as the last time they toured this part of the continent was back in 2013.
To understand more about The Empire we spoke with vocalist/guitarist Piotr ‘Peter’ Wiwczarek of Vader. In the interview we talked about the new album and the new EP, their upcoming tour with Hate Eternal and Threat Signal, and their plan for a US tour in 2017.
