15 years have passed since Tristania begun their career as one of the most successful and influential bands in the symphonic/gothic metal scene. The changes on the band’s musical journey are reflected in each one of their albums, from Widow’s Weed all the way to their new album Darkest White.
Talk about Tristania is speaking of one of the last standing bands from a glorious era of symphonic gothic metal that along with other bands like Draconian, Sirenia and Edenbridge still keep that legacy alive. Tristania just released their new album Darkest White, which is a continuation of the band’s new era that begun with Rubicon in 2010. The album is fresh, modern and totally aware of today’s metal scene and the changes within it.
Ole Vistnes of Tristania talked to us about the band’s new album Darkest White, the musical inspiration of the band, their plans and goals for this year, and much more.
