Few bands are still consider current and influential in the tough Black Metal market, and Marduk is a live example of that. They started back in the early 90’s during the rise of the Black Metal scene that spread their seed over the world like fire in a desolated forest, and they had prevail through time and social prejudices against this music genre. This year Marduk will unleash upon the world their 12th studio album Serpent Sermon at the beginning of June, the band on this album bring us a more dark and demonic concept. Marduk is well-known for managing a dual concept at the time to write an album which is either demonic or war oriented.
The Age Of Metal has the chance to speak with Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson guitar player and founder member of Marduk about Serpent Sermon, the album concept, the current state of black metal and their upcoming world tour.
