Mille Petrozza of Kreator discussed the new album Gods of Violence.

After the success of their latest album Phantom Antichrist (2012), Kreator returns with Gods of Violence, a new album full of thrash metal anthems that will definitely make your heads spin at their upcoming shows when they return to North America this March/April as they are headlining the Decibel Magazine tour 2017.

Gods Of Violence not only continues the line that they already established with Phantom Antichrist but aims to surpass the success the band already reached with it. This new album delivers that really dense and heavy German thrash metal style that we know from Kreator, but it seems on this album the band experimented with new sounds foreign to thrash metal which resulted in a very interesting musical combination for a band of their caliber.

The use of background orchestration done with the help of some of the guys of Fleshgod Apocalypse and the use of bagpipes courtesy of Boris Peifer of In Extremo adds a different flavor to the final result. As the band gets a melodic fix on Gods of Violence be sure Kreator takes their music to a new extreme on this new album. Songs like; Apocalypticon, Gods of Violence, World War Now and Satan Is Real are some of the heaviest thrash metal songs we can’t get enough from this record.

The Age of Metal had the chance to talk with Mille Petrozza guitar player and vocalist of Kreator about the band’s new album Gods of Violence, the Decibel Magazine tour, their participation at Masters of Rock in the Czech Republic this year and his new ESP guitar signature series the E-II MK-1 and the LTD MK-600 (Which Guitar World and Nuclear Blast are giving away here)
