There is rare occasions in which you can find bands that can easily produce rock and roll with such passion, that the result is so natural and addictive that you get floored as soon you listen their new music. Well, Crucified Barbara from Sweden are one of those bands.
Since the first time I listen their début album In Distortion We Trust (2005) I knew they were going to be one hell of a band, with Till Death Do Us Party (2009) they consolidated that idea, and by the time they released The Midnight Chase (2012) they had convinced everyone that chicks can rock harder than guys. With their new album In The Red, they for sure have what it takes to become one of the greatest hard rock bands of our generation.
This four Swedish ladies had created one of the most rebellious and aggressive music that I have heard since Guns And Roses broke into the world of hard rock back in the late 80’s with Appetite For Destruction. If bands like Girlschool, Vixen, and The Runaways paved the path for bands like Crucified Barbara, is up to them now to carry the torch of women in metal. In definitive Crucified Barbara, It’s all about of women’s attitude and great musicianship.
Recently The Age Of Metal spoke with Mia Coldheart guitar player and vocalist of Crucified Barbara, we talked about In The Red, their music, their message, and their new record label.
