Cattle Decapitation has reigned over humanity for almost twenty years, yet their chokehold on the world continually grows stronger. Suffocating the evils of human ways, this iconic deathgrind act serves the heinous actions of human beings by obliterating the race as a whole. This annihilating band has been characterized for their high-pitched and brutal sound, yet they evolve into more a violent monster with each album; they quench their thirst for blood with insane albums that reek with the stench of gore-induced greed from humanity.
Their newest masterpiece The Anthropocene Extinction is comprised of the erasing of human race through the demons of supply and demand, creating a toxic wasteland. A melodic aggression is met with this inevitable demise, resulting in the darkest yet most important album Cattle Decapitation has written. Cattle Decapitation will accelerate this process, slaying throughout the corruption while they’re on tour. While currently on the Summer Slaughter Tour they will perpetuate their abhorrence with two fall tours: a headlining North America tour and a new tour that is announced in the interview.
The Age of Metal spoke with guitarist Josh Elmore. In the interview we discuss the concept behind The Anthropocene Extinction, their philosophy behind representing evil humanity through metal, and all of the tours they have planned for the year.
