On Wednesday February 21st, Goatwhore came to Arizona along with Hate Eternal, and Fallujah. They played out in Tempe at a little venue that’s well-known as The Clubhouse. Goatwhore was set to play at 10:25 pm that night after Hate Eternal. Anticipation awaited as they finally got on stage. In intense Goatwhore manner the band was incredible as ever. Their set list was pretty diverse with new songs off the album “Blood For the Master,” along with a mix of other songs. They kicked things off with Collapse in Eternal Worth, Provoking The Ritual Of Death, The Black Art of Deception, In Deathless Tradition, Carving out the Eyes of God, Sky Inferno, Alchemy of The Black Sun Cult, The All-Destroying, When Steel and Bone Meet, Judgement of The Bleeding Crown, Invert the Virgin, Commanding The Legions of Hell, To Mourn and Forever Wander, An End To nothing and Apocalyptic Havoc.
The whole band has such an immense presence when they hit the stage. Very crowd engaging and high brutal energy. Singer Ben Falgoust had the crowd going head banging, pointing, shouting to the crowd and occasionally giving high fives to the crowd. Zach Simmons was a machine on the drums his speed was incredible. Sammy Duet and James Harvey were just as amazing as well. The crowd was able to keep up with high energy but went extra crazy for “Carving out the Eyes of God,” “Alchemy of the Black Sun Cult” and of course the last song of the night “Apocalyptic Havoc.”
Goatwhore tore the place up. They really interact with their fans and make you get into the music and always put on an amazing intense show. Their a very killer band everybody loves, Arizona will be ready and waiting for them to come back soon.
Before the show The Age of Metal was able to interview Ben Falgoust lead singer of Goatwhore who is a very amazing frontman. We asked him about the tour, new album, Summer Slaughter and future plans for Goatwhore.
