Greg Mackintosh talked about Vallenfyre with The Age Of Metal

Vallenfyre is the brainchild of Greg Mackintosh, more known for his guitar work in Paradise Lost. The band was born as a tribute to Greg’s father, John Mackintosh, who passed away late 2009. Vallenfyre also includes in their ranks Hamish Glencross (My Dying Bride), Scoot (Doom), Adrian Erlandsson (Paradise Lost), and Mully a guitar player friend of Mackintosh, all local swedish musicians that decided collaborated with Greg on this project.

VallenFyre is not a resemblance of what Mackintosh and his band mates do on their other bands, is a more raw and straight forward old school death metal in the lines of AutopsyNapalm Death, and Morbid Angel. At the beginning of 2011, the band released a limited 7th inch EP titled Desecration and later in the year the band was signed with Century Media Records. Vallenfyre will be releasing their first studio album, A Fragile King on October 31st (Europe) and November 1st (USA)

The Age Of Metal had the chance to talked with Greg Mackintosh last week about Vallenfyre, the new album and the state of the band, this is what he told us:
