With less than a month remaining until the release of their forthcoming effort “Audubon” through PROSTHETIC RECORDS, NYC-based experimental/noise trio NETHERLANDS have offered a sampling of new music with the trippy, holographic themed music video for “Elephuck”. Directed by filmmaker/animator Eric Leiser (Spongebob Squarepants), the video can be viewed on METAL INJECTION HERE or streaming below.
Scheduled for worldwide release on June 17, “Audubon” was recorded by Tom Tierney (Tidal Arms) and features nine tracks displaying their three-dimensional style of music with has been described as “super fuzzed stoner rock” (CMJ) while being likened to Black Sabbath (Crave). Founded by multi-instrumentalist Timo Ellis, who has worked with hundreds of notable acts including Yoko Ono, The Melvins and Ween, NETHERLANDS is rounded out by synthbass powerhouse Ava Farber and drum all-star Zach Eichenhorn.
“Audubon” – whose intricate cover art was completed by Ellis’ father, an acclaimed illustrator/author – can be pre-ordered on CD or standard weight, white variant LP (300 copies total) at store.prostheticrecords.com/
Digital pre-order options include an instant download of both “Elephuck” and the previous single “L.M.M.”
