Daniel Svensson of In Flames checked in with The Age Of Metal

Swedish melodic death metal powerhouse In Flames is now touring North America with Lamb Of God, Hatebreed and Sylosis. After completing a successful headlining tour at the beginning of the year supporting their latest album Sounds Of A Playground Fading, and playing in some of the big European festivals over the summer, this time around In Flames is bringing a whole new live set and a new stage presence.

Their set is more contemporaneous including songs like: Take This Life, Reroute To Remain, Cloud Connected, The Mirrors Truth, and of course songs from their new album like: Deliver Us, Fear Is The Weakness and Where The Dead Ships Dwell. Their set during opening night here in Phoenix, AZ was tight, and even Anders asked the people to “get rid of the barrier between them and the stage”, to which the security personal at Comerica Theater frowned upon him.

Here are some photos of that night here in Phoenix, AZ

The Age Of Metal talked to Daniel Svensson about their participation on this tour, their last show at Loud Park festival in Japan, their new website, and their launching of the Jesterhead global fan club community
