Sabaton returned for a second assault in North American soil in 2011, after a successful summer over Europe, and with a new live album World War Live : The Battle Of The Baltic Sea, you can check our review of it here. The band, that has toured non-stop since the release of their 6th studio album Coat Of Arms in 2010, do not disappointed live, presenting songs from their latest album like, Uprising, Coat Of Arms, Screaming Eagles and some of the favorites by the fans, Primo Victoria, Ghost Division and Panzer Battalion, put a great show last Friday at The ClubHouse here in Tempe, AZ as the band is currently touring with their fellow countrymen of Evergrey
We had the chance to talk with Daniel Mÿhr keyboardist of the band, about the current tour, the live album, and the future plans of the band, this is what he told us:
How has been the tour so far?
Last month you release your first live album World war live, Battle of the Baltic Sea, where the idea of recording a live show came from?
Sabaton also release a video for the track Screaming Eagles, what can you tell us of the concept of that video?
At the beginning of the tour, Par (bass player) was sent home for a physical problem, can you tell us what happened and who is his replacement for the rest of the tour?
Is Sabaton working on new material? And if you do what can you tell us about?
Joakim,recently was guess singer on the new Van Canto album, singing an arrangement of Primo Victoria,how was the experience of working with them? and what do you guys think of their cover?
Sabaton has a it’s very own cruise concert in Sweden called Sabaton cruise, what can you tell us about? And what is expected for next year?
Also has been announced that you will be headlining MetalCamp 2012. one of the major european shows, is it the first time Sabaton Headline a festival this big? and what are the expectations for that show?
What is next for Sabaton?
