Teutonic heavy metal legends, Grave Digger returns with a new album titled Return Of The Reaper. The record presents itself as a no conceptual album, after many years of working with different concepts and narrating different stories. Grave Digger releases an album full of individual stories, heavy riffs, and with a fresh approach to heavy metal.
After 30 years in the music business, Grave Digger is one the oldest and more respected heavy metal bands out there, that still keeping it true to the sound they developed back in the 80’s, their trademark image, and their fans. With Return Of The Reaper, Grave Digger not only follows an independent path in the lyrical aspect, but they also refreshed their music by loading it with a heavier sound that evokes their glorious era.
The Age Of Metal talked with Chris Boltendahl, vocalist and founding member of Grave Digger, we talked about the album, the idea of working without a concept, the band’s moment, and what is next for them during this 2014.
