MEMORIAM - For The Fallen

German power metal band Freedom Call just released their 9th studio album titled Master Of Light. The album is a 12 track rollercoaster ride of the most exquisite and honest power metal material that you will get to listen this year. Power metal is, in theory, one of the most underrated genres out there, often called cheesy or just plain, but for some out there, it is the best fitting vehicle to express their daily life experiences in an epic form, and that is exactly what Freedom Call has done in their new album Master of Light.

Master of Light is not a complex album, on the contrary, the album reflects the simplest form of power metal. Fast, melodic and straight to the point, from the get go songs like Metal Is For Everyone, Hammer Of The Gods, Kings Rise And Fall, and Hail The Legend are very powerful songs that reflect what this band is about and what they are saying throughout the album.

To understand more their ideas behind Freedom Call‘s new album we spoke with vocalist and guitar player Chris Bay about the new album, their first show in the USA at Progpower USA last September, their South American tour and their plans for 2017.
