C.S.R of Schammasch discussed the new album Triangle

SchSince 2009 Schammasch has worked on a unique blend of black metal, mixed with dark atmospheric melodies and a doom feeling in their music. Starting with Sic Lvceat Lvx in 2010 & followed by the double opus Contradiction in 2014. In 2016, Schammasch returns with a set of new material compiled on a triple album titled Triangle.

Triangle is divided into 3 parts (Part I : The Process Of Dying, Part II : Metaflesh and Part III : The Supernal Clear Light Of The Void) and each one of them is 33 minutes long, I would say that there is not an easy way to digest this album all at once unless you listen each part at a time. In order to appreciate what Schammasch have done with Triangle, one must take the listening of this record slowly as there are several moving parts and each song plays a role in the understanding of the triple album as a whole.

Schammasch once again uses hermetic mysticism and dark melodies to inject this triple album with a whole new set of feelings that are transmitted on each of the songs. Each album is a different trip and has different meanings that can’t be found on the other two parts. Triangle is an album to experience in a serene environment as each part offers a unique experience. Definitely, this is one of the most relaxing albums I have had the chance to listening to this year.

In order to have a better understanding of the ideas behind Triangle we spoke with C.S.R vocalist & guitar player of Schammasch about the main ideas behind this album, the importance of the visual concept within Triangle, and the plans after the release of the album.
