The Age of Metal talked to Native Construct at Winter NAMM 2016

If you haven’t discovered Native Construct, then you’re missing out. There’s no doubt this is currently the rising prog band. This band just emerged in 2015 with their debut album Quiet World. With unique influences ranging from jazz to musical theater, this group of Berklee students created something that is really unique. Native Construct has a diverse sound that anyone can appreciate. And the fact that this band is only at the beginning of their career, it’s pretty mindblowing how impressive their sound is.

This band is experiencing a first for everything, and one of those firsts is visiting winter NAMM. Walking right into the musician’s dream must have been something else for these guys. More firsts have come from these guys, such as their first time touring with Between the Buried and Me last year. But even though this is a new band, they’re already more advanced than most professional bands. It seems like nothing less of fortune is to come for these guys.

The Age of Metal met with the Native Construct guys at NAMM 2016. In the interview, they discuss their first time at NAMM, an in-depth view of their music, and what they can tell us about 2016.
